Overview

The X1 Carbon is Bambu Lab's flagship: an enclosed chamber with a carbon-fibre XY structure, able to print engineering plastics such as ABS, ASA, PA and carbon-reinforced grades that need heat and a stable environment. For a school that means project work can produce parts that actually take load, not only appearance models.

Automatic bed levelling and flow calibration cut tuning to a minimum, the AMS handles multi-colour and multi-material prints, and long jobs continue by switching spools. The onboard camera and monitoring mean staff need not stand next to the machine, and can check progress remotely after hours.

A common makerspace setup is one X1 Carbon for engineering materials and demanding projects, alongside several A1-series machines for everyday student practice and design classes.

Supplied in Hong Kong by STEAM.HK with school quotations, confirmed lead times and spare-part supply. Curriculum planning, teacher training and competition support come from our sister brand CAMEL STEAM. Hardware enquiries +852 2612 5666, course enquiries +852 2612 5555.

Frequently asked questions

Should the X1 Carbon be a school's first printer?

It depends on use. If the main need is a design class printing PLA and PETG in volume, the A1 mini or A1 is better value — the same budget buys several machines and puts more pupils on hardware at once. The X1 Carbon's enclosure and temperature capability are needed when the course prints engineering materials or load-bearing parts.

Does printing ABS or ASA need ventilation?

Yes. These materials give off odour and particulates; the enclosure helps but the location still needs proper ventilation. We can help plan machine placement and extraction for a makerspace.

How does school procurement work?

Add the models and quantities you need to the cart and submit an enquiry. We reply with a formal quotation listing model, quantity, unit price and lead time, ready for your school's purchasing process. Tell us if you need a specific format or a three-quote comparison.
