Bambu Lab

Bambu Lab changed how usable desktop 3D printing is in a classroom. Automatic bed levelling, flow calibration and an enclosed chamber remove the tuning work that used to dominate setup, so nobody spends the hour before a lesson fighting the first layer. The AMS handles multi-colour and multi-material prints and keeps long jobs running by switching spools automatically.

In schools we most often pair the A1 mini and A1 with design classes and entry-level makerspaces, the P1 series with courses that need more throughput, and the X1 Carbon with projects and tertiary labs printing engineering materials such as carbon fibre, PA and PET-CF. The first-party filament range covers PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA and TPU through to carbon-reinforced grades on the same machine.
