Overview

The WhalesBot A7 Pro sits in the A series, built for kindergarten and lower primary as a physical coding robot. Pupils enter commands with coding cards and dials — no screen or tablet, and no device logins or installation for the teacher to sort out first. Compared with the entry models in the same series, the A7 Pro carries more parts and supports more mechanism variation, which sustains a longer teaching unit.

The A series is designed hands-on first, abstraction second: pupils see the robot's behaviour change, then work back to understand the command sequence they entered. That order works particularly well with young children, because the abstract symbols arrive after the concrete result.

The same WhalesBot progression continues into graphical programming on the B, C and D series and AI modules on the S and E series, so pupils moving up a year do not change platform.

How do we choose between the A series models?

The differences are part count, the range of mechanisms you can build, and how long a unit they sustain. Short introductory sessions suit a smaller model; a full-term unit is better served by a configuration like the A7 Pro. Tell us your timetable and we will advise.

Can it be used in competition?

WhalesBot is one of the designated platforms for the ENJOY AI competition series, and each division sets its own hardware and age rules. Tell us the division you intend to enter and we will confirm the right model.
