Overview
VEX GO is the platform VEX designed for lower and middle primary, using small plastic structural parts to build the fundamentals — gear ratios, levers, linkages, wheels and axles. Part sizes and the snap fit are chosen for primary-aged hand strength: no tools needed, and hard to assemble wrongly.
This version ships with a storage case, which matters more in a school than it sounds: one case per group, clean stocktaking, fast packing away, and parts that do not disappear into the classroom. With the official GO STEM Labs, teachers can teach straight from the plans, already mapped to the engineering design process and scientific enquiry.
GO is the step before VEX IQ: the mechanical intuition pupils build here transfers directly into designing a competition robot on IQ.

Frequently asked questions
Does GO require computers?
Coding is optional. Pure mechanism units need no device at all. When you do add programming, VEXcode GO runs on computers and tablets with blocks pitched at primary level.
How does this differ from the GO Competitive Kit?
This is the standard classroom configuration with a storage case. The Competitive Kit is configured for VEX GO competition activities. If competing is not yet decided, teach with this one first.
